Kristel Kovner is a writer and actor from Los Angeles.
She received her BFA in Creative Writing and Film & Media Studies from Pepperdine University in Malibu and is a Best Shorts Award winner for writing and producing the film Where We Start From.
Kristel’s screenwriting work has been officially selected in 5 International film festivals including the Berlin Independent Film Festival during Berlineale, International Festival of Cinematic Arts, California International Film Festival, LA Indie Film Festival and Tucson Film & Music Festival. Her editorial work has been published in LA Canvas Magazine and Mother Mag.
Her acting credits include a Sundance select, a LA Shorts International select, national commercials, network & streaming TV, multiple SXSW select music videos, as well as various Los Angeles theater productions. Kristel is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Women in Film.
