Kristel Kovner is a Los Angeles-based writer and actor.
She is a Best Shorts Award recipient in screenwriting for the film Where We Start From, an official selection at the Berlin Independent Film Festival during Berlinale, International Festival of Cinematic Arts, California International Film Festival, LA Indie Film Festival and Tucson Film & Music Festival.
Her acting credits include a Sundance feature and SXSW and LA Shorts Fest select shorts, as well as network TV, national commercials, music videos and critically-acclaimed LA theater productions.
Kristel’s editorial work has been published in LA Canvas Magazine and Mother Mag. She received her BFA in Creative Writing and Film & Media Studies from Pepperdine University in Malibu and is a member of Women in Film.
